Adoption Process
Adoption applications can be completed here. If you are interested in one of our available dogs, please complete the adoption application form above. Once received, your application will be reviewed by our team. If your application is believed to be a potential match for one of our available dogs, we will be in contact ASAP to proceed with adoption procedures and set up a meet and greet. If you have resident pets at home, we always like to include them in meet and greets! Reference checks and a home visit will be completed prior to adoption. Approved adopters will complete an adoption contract, pay adoption fee, and receive a copy of records at time of finalizing adoption. Joy’s Promise is based out of Jackson, GA. Adoption applicants must live within 1-2 hours of Jackson.
Adoption Requirements
Any resident pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. A home visit is required prior to all adoptions. We do not require a fenced yard (unless case of special circumstance where a specific dog may need a fenced yard). If you rent your home, we reserve the right to ask for proof of landlord approval on the adoptee pet in your home and any stipulations surrounding pets in your lease. Adopters must live in GA; we do not do out of state adoptions.
Adoptable Dogs
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, received age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, up to date on preventative medications (completed heartworm treatment if applicable), and dewormed prior to adoption. Available Dogs on Petfinder Available Dogs on AdoptaPet
Adoption Fee
Effective 1/1/2026, our adoption fee is $150. It is payable via Check, Credit Card, PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp at time of adoption.
